A new life indeed!

Reshma
Dear Anne,

Nine year old Reshma, has a rather tragic story to tell. Her Father Rajjak, is a drug peddler and an addict, who is imprisoned on these grounds. Her mother, Ashma, who was also a drug peddler, died four years ago, due to a kidney failure.

After her mother’s death and with her father being imprisoned, little Reshma had nowhere to go. Her father showed little interest in even meeting her or making arrangements for her stay.

With no relatives or guardians to care for the child, she was admitted to the Children’s Village in Sanjoepuram and was enrolled in the Grace Mission School in Upper Kindergarten. Reshma’s sweet and happy nature belies the difficult times, she has gone through. She is very eager to learn every thing and is a quick learner. Seeing her exemplary academic performance, she was immediately promoted to the 3rd grade and continues to do well in school. Reshma loves attending school and solving math problems. She is an ace at Badminton and aspires to become a Doctor, when she grows up.

Your generous donation, Anne, will enable India Vision Foundation to provide for Reshma’s tuition, her school supplies, and even help provide her living expenses for a whole year.

Thank you so much, Anne, for giving Reshma, a chance at living a normal life.
